PROJECT
UX OF SOIL II – SOIL JEWELLERY
- Timeline: 1 Week
- Brief: Design an experience that explores planetary soil dependence
- Research Method AEIOU & Speed Dating
- Team Members: Gabrielle Bennett, Rikkie Xiong, Cat Achieng
- Key Deliverables: An Embodied Experience / Prototype
Last week we speed dated ten people and asked them to rank their favourite concepts.
The most popular concept was the art jewellery and the participants explained that they selected it because they liked the sentimental value behind the design. As a team, we decided to create soil art jewellery that is personalised for the user.
PROTOTYPE
THE EFFECTS OF ANXIETY ON SKIN (DERMATOPHAGIA)
In order to develop deeper empathy, we decided to use real stories from real people.
We gathered memorable stories from three different people through storytelling sessions. The participants were asked to share a memorable story that involved travelling, home land, soil etc. The stories were then synthesised and used to create one persona; Penelope.
